Culinary Wellness & Food Budgeting

Practical help in the kitchen: making the most of your grocery budget, and turning general food guidance into meals you'll actually cook.

Free SNAP Food-Budget Consultations

If you currently receive SNAP benefits and live in Kansas or Missouri, you can request a free food-budget consultation. You don't need to show proof of benefits, and there's nothing to buy.

We can help with:

• Planning meals around your budget

• Affordable staples and ingredient swaps

• Shopping strategies and comparing unit prices

• Cooking with what you already have

• Using leftovers and wasting less food

• A simple grocery list and meal-prep plan

• Finding food pantries, food distributions and other food resources near you

How it works: Email wadulisisllc@gmail.com with "SNAP Consultation" in the subject line, and we'll reply to set up a time. This consultation is free for people currently receiving SNAP who live in Kansas or Missouri. We'll ask whether you currently receive SNAP and which state you live in. Consultations are by phone or video and last about 30 to 45 minutes.

SNAP consultations are requested by email, not through our consultation calendar.

SNAP benefits don't always cover a household's full food needs. This consultation is about practical ideas, not judgment.

We can't decide SNAP eligibility, change your benefits or give official benefits advice. For questions about your SNAP case, contact the Kansas Department for Children and Families or the Missouri Family Support Division.

Culinary Wellness Education

Maybe a healthcare provider has suggested you eat more like a Mediterranean-style diet, cut back on sodium, or add more vegetables, and you're not sure what that looks like at your stove. We help you put general food guidance into practice with familiar meals, accessible ingredients and simple techniques.

• General meal-planning education

• Affordable grocery planning

• Adapting familiar meals to general eating patterns

• Ingredient substitutions

• Culturally grounded and Indigenous-inspired meal planning

• Cooking skills and food literacy

• Workshops for community groups, workplaces and organizations

Private sessions use our lesson pricing (see Learn & Resources). Group workshops are by custom proposal. To ask about a paid session or workshop, book a consultation below.

What We Do and Don't Do

Wadulisi's offers culinary education and practical cooking skills. We are not registered dietitians or licensed healthcare providers. We don't diagnose, treat, prevent or cure any condition, and we don't create individualized medical or therapeutic nutrition plans. If you have a medical condition, food allergy or specific nutrition needs, please follow the guidance of your healthcare provider. We're happy to help you cook within it.
